Subject: Discrimination against Roma in Greece in the field of housing: Discriminatory legislation, residential segregation and forced evictions.

 

Legal basis: The Committee held that the insufficiency of permanent dwellings constituted a violation of Article 16 of the European Social Charter. It also held that the lack of temporary stopping facilities constituted a violation of Article 16 of the European Social Charter. Finally, it held that the forced eviction and other sanctions against Roma constituted a violation of Article 16 of the European Social Charter.
